Although I am originally from North Carolina and have lived in various areas in the southeast.  My wife Lisa and I moved here a little over 20 years ago when Sevierville and Pigeon Forge were just dots on the map.  Dollywood was called Silver Dollar City and there wasn't a shopping mall in site.  Gatlinburg was a sleeping little mountain town with mom and pop shops, restaurants and inns and was the Tennessee gateway to the national park.   If you are already familiar with the area, you know that there have been alot of changes since then.

My wife and I fell in love with the area and we knew that we wanted to be here for many years.  We have raised 3 kids in this beautiful place. Beside being the primary child guardian and taxi, Lisa is a school teacher and an avid hiker and an Incident Commander for Black Diamond Search and Rescue.  I have been a baseball coach, a soccer coach, a golf coach, and have attended every school function known to mankind.  I have attended dance recitals, participated in all kinds of fund raisers, and helped with some pretty weird science projects.   I have a strong background in business and consider myself a reasonably intelligent person with high moral values, honesty and integrity.   But everyone says that right???  So what makes me different???   Keep reading.

Like I said, I have participated in alot of projects over the years, but my most favorite project was the dog you see above, Schatzi, a two  year old Goldador.  When my middle daughter was a senior in high school, she took on a community service project to boost her college resume.  Her project was to raise a service dog from puppy to two years old.   Well, needless to say, what start as a project soon became an act of love.  Schatzi became a family member and a valued friend.  He came to us from an outstanding organization in Orlando, Fl call Southeastern Guide dog Association.   Schatzi has been more places and participated in more activities than most humans.  He has ridden in cars, buses, planes, trains, boats, and a semi.   He went everywhere with my daughter or a member of the family including restaurants, movie theaters, school functions, soccer matches, baseball games, church and even school.   In addition to being a guide dog, Schatzi became a certified therapy dog. He visited assisted living facilities in the area and for an ever so brief time, became a friend to a senior citizen in need of companionship. Schatzi's reward for all his hard work is that he is now a good and loyal companion to a visually impaired woman in New Jersey.   As any of you know, who have pets, it was not easy to let him go.  We shed several tears when Schatzi left, but we know that the work we did and he continues to do today, is paying off in a big way for someone who needs his eyes and companionship worse that we do.

Why am I telling you all of this???   Because real estate is more than a business to me...........It's about people.  Everyone has their own needs and desires and we rely on other people (and sometimes dogs) to help us with those needs and desires.    As I said on the front  page, I am an EXPERT when it comes to the business of real estate (this is what makes me different)  I understand our market.  I know the statistics.  I follow the trends locally and nationally and I understand how they affect us.  I can tell you how to calculate ROIs and amortization tables.  I know where to get the best mortgage and what the current rates are.  I know the best home inspectors and contractors who will do repairs at reasonable cost.  But what I value most are the relationships I have built with my clients over the years.  Most of which will last a lifetime.

If you want to buy a home, I will not just sell you a house............I will find you a home.   Not just bricks and mortar.............but a place that you will love, in the right location, at the right price.   How do I do that..............by getting to know you.
